Abbreviations, terms and slang
receiver
Usually refers to the radio receiver module on the drone. This is the unit that receives commands from your radio transmitter (controller).
GeorgiFPVFOV
Field of view. A value in degrees of how much you can see through the camera lens.
Angle mode
Restricted flight mode where the quad will never go beyond a certain angle on the roll or pitch axis. The drone can never flip and on release of the sticks the drone levels out.
Horizon mode
The drone levels out if you let go of the sticks, however in this mode you can flip and roll completely.
Failsafe
A system to describe what to happen with the quad if connection is lost. For instance, drop throttle and fall off the sky, instead of flying away.
Acro mode
Complete manual stick operation. The drone does not level out and stick input alone determines how you fly.
ESC
The Electronic Speed Controller is the board that takes orders from the Flight Controller and drives the motors.

Your radio transmitter controller. The unit that sends instructions over (usually) 2.4GHz to the receiver on the drone
XF
Abbreviation for Crossfire, a long range 868mhz/915mhz radio protocol
Power_FPVBando
Slang for abandoned building. Very popular for both racing and freestyle pilots
Power_FPVOSD
Abbreviation for On Screen Display. This overlays important flight statistics (battery voltage, RSSI, altitude etc.) On the FPV feed.
Power_FPVFC
Stands for Flight Controller. The main \"brain\" of the quadcopter that takes radio input from the receiver, signal from gyroscopes and accelerometers, and controls the angle of the drone.
Power_FPVLiPo
Slang for Lithium Polymer battery. 99.99% of fpv quads run LiPo batteries due to their high density, light weight and power output.
Power_FPVFPV
First person view. Refers to the way the video feed from the drone looks.
vtx
Video transmitter. The module that takes your FPV camera feed and transmits it over (usually) 5.8GHz to your goggles or other video receiver.
